Cheap Limos and Common Problems

Getting a limo service can be very tricky especially if you are a newbie. There are hundreds of limo service providers that can provide very cheap limo rides at the expense of your comfort.

The most common problems with a cheap limo service are with the vehicle itself. If you are booking online for your service, your service provider might present pictures of an awesome limousine that anyone would want to ride in. However, on the day of your most awaited event, you will be surprised with disappointment. The pictures of the cheap limo may look great but the actual vehicle may not. The most common complaints are old or dirty interiors matched with a sweaty or smoky odor. Some vehicles may even have busted air conditioning and heating systems. Usually, the TV, CD, and DVD player will not even work right. As a result, you’ll end up embarrassed instead of actually feeling proud that you’ve utilized a limo service.

As for the supposed cheap pricing, cheap limo rides are usually not affordable after all. Usually, you can get a very low price offer when the agent of the limo service company tries to negotiate a deal with you over the phone. However, when they show up at your doorstep with the contract, the price suddenly changes as “pay per mile” fees, “per hour surcharges”, and other fees are applied.
Also, some cheap limo prices have initially low base prices. The base prices usually make up for the first one to three hours that you need the service. However, most of these service rates will go way high, up to almost 50% after the base hours. Some alleged cheap limo service providers also have extra changes for every pick-up or drop-off. They will also have “after midnight” service charges or “premium time” for weekends.

To make sure that you will not get victimized by tricky cheap limo service providers, check for credibility. Check the reviews of customers and limo service directories. Be sure that you ask pertinent questions during the actual negotiations and never forget to read the whole of the contract- even the small prints.
